7 Hacks to Keep Your Car Clean This Fall

The fall season is full of excitement; back-to-school, football season, and preparation for the holidays make for a very busy time of year! In the midst of all this excitement, your car can get dirty pretty fast. Check out these 7 hacks to keep your car clean this fall.

Hang a Shoe Organizer to Organize Items

Those handy shoe organizer bags that can hang on your closet door can also hang on the back of your seat. This will give you a place to store and organize small items in your car so they are easy to find and accessible from the back seat.

Use Baking Soda to Keep Your Seats Fresh

Baking soda can remove stains and foul odors from your upholstery. Just sprinkle some on the seat or carpet, let it sit for a few minutes, and use a vacuum to clean it up. Your car will sparkle and smell wonderful in no time.

Turn a Cereal Container into a Trash Can

Having trash in your car is inevitable, especially if you frequently find yourself eating on the go. Fortunately, there is a creative solution! Simply put a trash or grocery bag in a cereal container, snap on the lid, and enjoy your sealable trash can.

Keep Cup Holders Clean with Cupcake Holders

Silicone muffin cups fit perfectly in the cup holders in your car and will keep crumbs and spills from making your cup holders dirty and sticky. Silicone reusable and easy to clean – when they get dirty just take them out, wash them, and use them again!

Use a Foam Craft Brush to Clean Vents

Air vents get dusty, and it’s important to clean them to keep the air clean. Keep a foam craft brush in your glove box and use it to dust off air vents.

Turn Candle Wax into an Air Freshener

Don’t like using those pricey air fresheners that lose their scent within minutes? Try using candle wax to freshen the air in your car. This is particularly useful in the summer, when the wax will melt slightly and release fragrance as if the candle was burning. (Note: Just don’t light the candle in your car!)
